**Crystallography may be considered either a branch of Mathematics, Physical Chemistry, or Physics.
*Modern Network Synthesis may be considered either a branch of Mathematics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
The foregoing table includes neither undergraduate nor graduate studies. The column "study" refers to independent study beyond the level of a
PhD.
I have approximately 90 units of graduate credit -- more than enough for a PhD with a double major in Mathematics and Physics.
Documentation
- GS-15 (Research Scientist) Mathematics in 1968 and Physics in 1978.
- California Community College life instructor's credentials in Mathematics and Physics in 1976.
Demonstration
- authored and published a textbook on Plane and Spherical Trigonometry and Geometry.
- adopted as official textbook for Spherical Trigonometry at the Texas A&M University in 2000.
- developed from the concept of an angle and its measure as contrasted to the conventional line and its length.
- provides a guide to the solution of problems.
- Excel spread-sheet for navigation.
- authored and published a brief summary of the original research in Linear Algebra. and a textbook in 2004.
- authored and published _Astrolabium_. (Spherical Trigonometry).
- instructions for use, proofs of each theorem, and instructions for construction.
- devised an algorithm for the computation of the incomplete third elliptic integral. (Complex Variables)
- introduced use of AC methods for measurement of conductivity & dielectric constant of a liquid, to circumvent the polarization inherent
in DC methods. (electrochemistry)
- principal of first-ever in US seminar in Partial Differential Equations, a decade prior to the availability of a textbook. (Partial
Differential Equations)
- authored a Treatise on the Theory of Information. (Real Variables)
- solved the Three Channels in Cascade problem. (Algebraic Topology)
- proved uniqueness and devised a construction algorithm for the Metrization problem. (Topology & Geometry)
- the measure of an angle is invariant under a transformation which is a topological homeomorphism & a group isomorphism.
- designed a NAS (= network attached storage). (programming & data base)
- developed the TMG meta-compiler, which originally was invented my McClure. (Computer Science)
- devised an improved hashing algorithm. (data base)
- developed an extensive library of Linear Algebra programs. (Linear Algebra & programming). rewrote it in the C language and made it
available as shareware in 2004.
- technical supervision: Research Section at Hoffman Laboratories & Research Department at JPL
